Owner, Carly Huegelmann has an M.F.A in Creative Writing from Columbia College Chicago.  She has written and produced sketch comedy for Second City and Chicago’s SketchFest and has performed in Serendipity Theatre’s 2nd Story Festival.  Carly has recently finished her novel, Yellow and is a producer and regular reader for the Chicago reading series RUI: Reading Under the Influence.

 

Carly worked for Literacy Volunteers of Western Cook County, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to increasing the literacy skills of adults in the community, for five years.

 

She has volunteered for C.A.R.E., a global organization fighting poverty worldwide and R.A.T.I.O (Raising Awareness to Inspire Others). Annually, she takes part in Relay for Life through the American Cancer Society as a member of the Elmhurst Mom’s Club.

 

Carly teaches ESL at College of DuPage and Writing at Elgin Community College. She is also an English Language Learner Consultant for Manhattan School District 114.

 

Children’s Art Studio was created for children to establish a special and unique place for their creativity in an inspirational environment.

 

Parents get to enjoy creating with their child outside of the home. They don’t have to worry about interruptions or the relentless clean up!
